Labor and
Monitoring Explained
Labor Estimates include installation, travel and testing of system to full and complete operation as estimated. Additionally 2 hours training on system will be provided upon completion of paperwork and initiation of monitoring. Equipment has a minimum 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects (excluding lightning or physical damage). During warranty period any defect of equipment or labor repairs are no charge.
Contract monthly or annual prepaid Monitoring fees include one annual inspection or battery service call per year at no charge after expiration of manufacturers warranty but during current monitored period.
You accounts monitoring services will be provided by Monitronics International. Their trained emergency operators respond to a digital receipt of signals sent from your security system via your premise phone lines. Upon an emergency signal being received multiple operators initiate an escalation of contacts to confirm alarm disposition. Their target from receipt of signals to contact of authorities if necessary is under 60 seconds. This time includes attempts to contact the premise and verify a user with an authorized pass code to cancel a false alarm.
Should no contact be available within the time window allowed authorities are immediately dispatched while your alternate contact numbers are used in attempts to contact you both to verify your safety and notify you of an alarm condition. Should contact be made and an incorrect pass code is given on premise the police are advised of a potential “hostage or unidentified occupant” situation since an authorized user could not be verified. Should you be contacted off premise and desire to cancel a known false alarm their operators can contact the authorities and advise them of your wishes.
Non emergent but urgent signals such as premise power interruption of a duration to weaken the backup internal battery of the panel initiate attempts at notification of your contact list but no emergency dispatch.
All signals including other non-emergency signals referred to as supervisory warnings are forwarded to me via facsimile the following day. Examples for these could be premise or circuit power interruption (of short duration) or internal panel or sensor diagnostics. If the panel should become unable to communicate it will notify you via its keypads and voice status. This redundancy ensures your continued protection without requirement of manual testing.
This arrangement (subcontracted monitoring) also allows for your maximum protection in emergencies due to fast and professional response of 24 hr operators and their utilization of digital signals, which can deliver accurate address, occupant and event information to authorities in any event from their database immediately. I will remain able to both service your account and equipment with information obtained from their connection to your equipment and continue to deliver proactively the level of service, which you should expect.
