Options/Sensor Descriptions
Fixed Interior Keypads Remote Disarm Devices Voice Control Sirens Sensors
Status and Disarming Interior Keypads are mounted to the wall near primary and/or secondary entrances. They may also be used in bedrooms or other areas where a desire to observe the armed or disarmed status of the alarm or the state of a particular zone status would be informative. (Did I close that door or arm the alarm when I came in or before I went to bed?).
All display Housings cases are in off white.
Fixed Display
Keypad with zone only display indicating status of alarm and zone by number.
2x16 LCD Alpha Display
Keypad indicating status of alarm
and zone by recognizable programmed descriptions. This keypad uses a 16 character LCD display which is backlit in
amber. It is nearly square in appearance
with rounded corners approximately 6”x5”.
2x20 LCD Alpha Display
Keypad indicating status of alarm
and zone by recognizable programmed descriptions. This keypad uses a 20 character LCD display which is backlit in
amber. . It is nearly rectangular in appearance
with rounded corners approximately 7”x4”.
2x20 VFT Alpha Display
Keypad indicating status of alarm and zone by recognizable programmed descriptions. This keypad uses a 20-character VFT display (Vacuum Fluorescent Display), which has a true black background with blue “laser like display”. It is clearly visible from all angles of viewing and is impervious to “washout” from sunlight regardless of angle of viewing. It is also nearly rectangular in appearance with rounded corners approximately 7”x4”.
2 button Crystal Key fob
(same as 4 button below WITHOUT ability to panic or add
lighting control or auxiliary function.)
4 button Crystal Key fob
Key fobs are added to key chain and allow instant arm or disarming of the entire security system prior to home entry. Additionally the 4 button version can be used with X10 devices to turn on a group or single attached lamps or auxiliary devices. They can also be used to initiate a PANIC alarm on or off premise (while within the range of the alarm panels receiver) for immediate response of authorities if access to phone or keypad is impractical or unsafe and police, fire or emergency assistance is desired. Unit is smaller in size than typical car transmitter (smaller than a box of matches).
Hi-tech Handheld wireless touch pad
This mobile touch pad has the system arm/disarm and panic features of the key fobs but adds individual zone capabilities and status requests on a “TV style” remote control which is free to sit on the nightstand beside the bed or move about the house. It is often used in place of a fixed bedroom display to verify zone status and alarm state without having to get up to read the keypads display.
It allows for individual zone bypass without disarming the entire system so that a door may be opened or a window left ajar while arming the remainder of the sensors zones. It does not have a display but system responses are verbally “spoken” from the panel’s remote speakers. It has individual panic buttons (police, fire, medical) for immediate clarification of the emergency type when sending a manual alarm to the monitoring company.

Water resistant single large button panic/medical alert pendant.
This control module allows the system to be armed, disarmed, and zone status verified from within the home (on an extension) or via incoming phone call from work or cell.
For security purposes the off premise feature requires a correct sequence of two calls with request to access code entered followed by a password entry during the second call. Upon verification of authority to control the panel “her voice” responds with verbal prompts to allow customization of the systems status assure that all is secure or confirm that an event has occurred and at what point.
Very convenient yet secure method of temporarily disarming and rearming the system for guests or workers without giving access to the panels private codes and location of hidden premise keys or otherwise leaving your home unsecured. Allows you to retain control and security of your home and yet allow admittance to authorized individuals and re-arm after their exit all from a remote location.
This module doubles as interior siren-notifying occupants of an alert with intermittent siren and voice to both fire alarms and burglary attempts detected and at what point has been detected.
This control module also allows system and zone status to be confirmed via panels voice. Allows clarification of armed or disarmed status remotely (if out of view from wall mounted display) for use with key fobs or hi-tech keypads prior/post entry. This module can also be programmed to chime and “announce entry” even while disarmed with any opening of entrance or other protected door using its programmed description.
Depending on proximity of neighbors and local ordinances an external siren may or may not be a practical consideration. Interior sirens are used to same effect with an intruder (to mitigate loss due to recognized detection) without liability or nuisance potential. Additionally interior sirens may induce an intruder to waste time seeking to silence the sound from a remote siren or otherwise disorient his efforts.
Weatherproof wired small low profile external siren element. Ideal for ground level (within shrubs etc.) or hidden within gable corners. It produces high frequency external siren sounds. (Due to directionality of high frequencies this siren will not service an area distant of immediate area if blocked in any manner.)
Weatherproof wired Horn profile external siren element. Ideal for roof eve or within gable environments where baffling or obstructions may reduce sound propagation. Maximum potential for external detection. Difficult to aesthetically integrate with exterior features.
Replaces phone outlet (retains jack and single line use of phone wire) with integrated siren. Uses 2 unused phone conductors of phone lines internal wiring to obtain power for annunciation. Has internal backup battery in the event that power is lost.
Extremely loud 4 element interior siren requires no wiring (plugs into wall outlet). It may be moved to other outlets for either convenience or enhanced volume. Excellent option as additional interior notification of alarms for remote areas of house. Also often used in multiple locations within the home to frustrate and disorient intruders. If you are in the room with it, it is loud, VERY Loud.
Same application as Power horn above except uses 1 piezo element instead of four allowing for a much smaller case design.
Standard Door Window Sensors

This sensor may be used as is for a standard magnetic base, magnetic contact or may be used in hybrid mode as a remote sending RF transmitter for an otherwise wired contact.
Recessed Door Sensors
Specially designed low profile door sensor revealing only
the appearance of a “dime sized” surface within the doorjamb header when
installed. Allows nearly invisible
installation with optional choice of colors in either white or dark brown
integrating seamlessly with most painted or wooden doorjambs.
Micro Window Door Sensors

Primarily designed for auxiliary protection of items within the home rather than perimeter protection of entry points. May be used for supplemental protection of interior areas or items such as gun cabinets, pictures or heirlooms. Can offer 24/7 protection of areas to limit access to items even while alarm is otherwise disarmed.
Flex-guard Dual Mode Glass Break Sensors
Wireless glass break detector allowing multiple mounting locations. Nearly immune to false alarms while acting as an excellent perimeter protection for multiple glass windows or doors. Detects and discriminates between the sound of “a broken glass” such as one dropped in the kitchen and the sound of “a broken pane of glass” such as an attempt to breach a locked door or window. The unit is armed whenever the panel is armed. Included sensitivity adjustments and diagnostic LEDS for testing.
Indoor Wireless PIR
Wireless PIR suitable for interior low profile, non-hostile environments where large areas need to be protected while away from home or in remote areas of the home where normal inhabitant traffic would not be within its view at any time while armed. DO NOT USE IF YOU HAVE CATS or near glass outside the desired protected area (such as a sidewalk or storefront). Detection light only illuminates when in test mode to conserve battery life.
Indoor pet-immune PIR

Same as above with some resistance to dogs less than 40 pounds. DO NOT USE IF YOU HAVE CATS or near glass outside the desired protected area (such as a sidewalk or storefront). Detection light only illuminates when in test mode to conserve battery life.
Range Controlled Radar PIR
Wired (required wire installation) dual technology sensor. Is optimized for maximum protection and minimum potential for false alarm. Unit prior to alarm will determine distance from and size of entity detected using a radar image in addition to amount of heat generated and unique signature detected to discriminate between a potential false alarm (insect buzzing the lens, cat jumping on top of couch, central air return moving mass of air) and a threat (100+ lb object generating body heat moving within its protected area while the system is armed).

Unit is aesthetically sleek in appearance but may still be used in otherwise hostile environments including outbuildings and garages. Range can be preset to protect area from 6 feet to 25 feet from mounted location. Ideal for nearly any application where potential for wire run remains. May also be protected from tampering in high security applications. Visual led always indicates protection area offering peace of mind and verification of desired protected area.
Smoke sensor
This is a 24-hour protection loop. It is active regardless of whether you arm your system or not.

When smoke is detected the unit will sound a local alarm
from smoke detector itself to alert the particular unit in alarm much like a
traditional smoke alarm would. But in
addition the wireless reporting of smoke detection to the panel sounds the
local alarm from the panels speakers to awake and alert inhabitants within the
entire premise of the fire alarm. Unit
simultaneously notifies monitoring company of fire alarm. In the even of a false alarm the call can be
cancelled or in the event of a real emergency or when no one is home the alarm
call will be dispatched to fire authorities.
This unit contains lithium batteries lasting from 2 to 5
years. Unlike traditional smoke
detectors the local unit in addition to the panel will notify you of low
battery life weeks prior to any loss of protection. Additionally it will report the state of the battery to the
monitoring company and they will notify me of the report during the same time
period.
Rate of Rise Heat sensor
This is a 24-hour protection loop. It is active regardless of whether you arm your system or not.

A rate of rise heat sensor is used to protect areas which could
benefit from early detection of combustibles but would otherwise cause repeated
false alarms using a smoke (particulate) detector. Such locations as garages, dusty work areas, crawl spaces etc. A heat detector has a thermal fuse, which
blows at a set point of 150 degrees or with a rise of 10 degrees per minute if
the ambient temperature is over 70 degrees.
They cannot be reset once tripped they must be replaced.
Carbon Monoxide Sensor
This is a 24-hour protection loop. It is active regardless of whether you arm your system or not.

CO2 detector is used to protect life from buildup of
undetectable and deadly Carbon Monoxide emissions from gas burning water
heaters, furnaces or vent less logs.
Alarms from this type of sensor are treated as a fire alarm by the monitoring company to ensure your safety.
Water Sensor
This is a 24-hour protection loop. It is active regardless of whether you arm your system or not.

May be used to detect moisture and prevent damage from sump
pump failure, leaking basements, and clogged waste lines in dishwashers or
washing machines.
Alarms from this type of sensor are treated as auxiliary. Attempts to contact you and others on a predetermined list only. No emergency vehicles are dispatched.
Freeze Sensor
This is a 24-hour protection loop. It is active regardless of whether you arm your system or not.
This type of sensor comes in both freeze protection
and loss of freeze protection.
Applications for freeze protection include loss of heat in
areas with potetial damage to plumbing due to loss of heat.
Applications for loss of freeze protection include lockers for perishable items including home and commercial freezers.
Alarms from this type of sensor are treated as
auxiliary. Attempts to contact you and
others on a predetermined list only. No
emergency vehicles are dispatched.
Many other desired protection or auxiliary zones might be configured using components from other sensor arrays found in wired, wireless, and hybrid configurations. If you don’t see a specific application that you desire please do not hesitate to inquire with one of our technicians.
